Life Issues
Edward Sees Images In His Range Of Vision And Cannot Stop Crying
1/13/2013 6:00:00 AM
Dear Dr. Archer,
For several months I keep getting slivers of other images in my vision. I can be driving and looking straight ahead, and shards of another image will enter my sight.

I've also been crying at the drop of a hat, whether it's good news or bad. Even as I am typing this right now my eyes are welling up with tears. I cannot seem to stop this! I don't know what to do. I'm on full disability and my funds are zero. Please help.
Edward

Dear Edward,
Being on full disability, I assume you're on Medicare. If you are not, you need to go to the official Social Security website to get medical assistance. You can also go to your local community medical clinic.

I cannot make a diagnosis as to why you're experiencing images within your line of vision. This needs to be done by a doctor, face to face. Crying can be a sign of depression, but again, this needs to be evaluated in person, not through a short letter.

Read Can Anxiety And Depression Go Hand-In-Hand? and I Don't Feel Right In The Head. The main thing is to get checked out, and the sooner the better. I advise you to stop driving until you get this done. Better to prevent a potential accident rather than regret something later.

Please do not put this off. There's a saying that goes, "The best way to get something done is to begin." Make your appointment today so you can start to heal. Good luck,
Dr. Archer
